A personal relationship with Jesus

A personal relationship with Jesus is the most important relationship a person can have on earth. A relationship with Jesus results in a new life and leads us into a new future. A future with his forgiveness; a place where Jesus wraps us up within his protection of forgiveness. We then forever have the presence of the Holy Spirit living within us, as our eternal guide.

Jesus already has a future waiting for us. A perfect body is available and a home with Him in heaven. For this, we need to establish a relationship with Jesus. This is not difficult, it is almost too simple for us to understand, because of its simplicity.

Jesus came to seek and to save the lost. He has issued an invitation – it is here now, ready and waiting for you. In Matthew 11:28 it says “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

He has called for our trust in Him and in His cross. He has already spoken about us to His father in heaven. Jesus wants to speak to us all personally as friends right now. Jesus is certainly waiting for our friendship and wants to have a close relationship with us all.

Are we ready and willing to accept Him? Are we ready to accept Jesus’s ‘get out of jail’ card? He has already done our time behind bars for us, so that we do not have to do this ourselves. His card is a card we can show to anyone, anytime we find ourselves falling short. His ‘get out of jail’ card does not have a ‘best before’ date.

In Hebrews 13:8 it talks about Jesus being the same today as he was yesterday and he will be the same tomorrow as he is today. He is ahead of us for all our tomorrows with the same forgiveness. He is ready and available to be our eternal, forever ready saviour and friend.
